POWER CONDITIONING & CONTINUATION INTERFACING EQUIPMENT (PCCIE)
• $562.5 million
• Period of Performance: 2009–2016

Poweris often “dirty” with harmonics,  surges, spikes etc. The UPS takes incoming power and cleans it up by converting from AC to DC back to AC, providing a clean sine wave to the mission equipment.
• Power Continuation: Sensitive electronic equipment may also be damaged if it takes a sudden power failure. The UPS also has battery backup that kicks on to provide power to the mission equipment if the power totally fails or sags far enough below the proper voltage level to power the mission equipment. Most systems provide 15-minute battery backup and if AF equipment is mission essential, generator backup is generally provided.
