Colonel Stephen R. Lyons, special assistant to the commanding general, U.S. Army Materiel Command, Fort Belvoir, Va., has been assigned to deputy chief of staff, logistics, C/J-4, International Security Assistance Force, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.
Army Brigadier General Robert M. Brown has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Brown is currently serving as deputy for acquisition and systems management, Offi ce of the Assistant Secretary of the Army, (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology), Washington, D.C.
James T. Freihofer has been appointed to the senior executive service and is assigned as program manager for joint contingency acquisition support offi ce, Offi ce of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics), Washington, D.C. Freihofer previously served as director, joint deployment, employment and sustainment, Joint Futures Lab, Suffolk, Va.
Army Brigadier General Patricia E. McQuistion has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. McQuistion is currently serving as commanding general, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army.
Army Brigadier General William N. Phillips has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Phillips is currently serving as commanding general, Joint Contracting Command, Multi-National Force-Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
Army Brigadier General Kurt J. Stein has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Stein is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, sustainment, Multi-National Force-Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
Army Brigadier General Michael J. Terry has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Terry is currently serving as commanding general, 8th Theater Sustainment Command/commanding general, U.S. Army Hawaii, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. ♦
